Automatic HTML for Winpack
Hello All,
I offer a small server for those who do not wish to get involved with HTML but just want to type a message in Winpack and send it, and wish Winpack would convert it into HTML for them.
HTMLCONV.EXE version 1.01 was OK except you couldn't turn it off so every message went out as HTML, so I have added a turn off feature to version 2.05. If you want a message to go out without conversion to HTML then just put <NO> on a line by itself in the main text as you would /ack or /qsl
The <NO> will be removed by the server and it will otherwise leave the message alone.
When you do let it do the conversion, it will do a better job than my original effort.
HTMLCONV.EXE - Vers 2.05 Written by G4FJQ in 1997.
This is a Winpack server that converts all outgoing mail to HTML, as long as it isn't 7plus, a cor file, or already HTML. Put it onto your hard disc where you choose, then, in the \winpack\servers\send directory setup a shortcut to it that runs minimised and closes when done. It works well on my system in Win95. It should be OK in Windows 3.1n, but I have no way to try it.
This is freeware and should not be charged for or used as a give away in a sales deal. Future versions will always be free, so this will never become an advertisement, just a small free service. Oh, yes, I nearly forgot.
This server will not add a brag to your messages.
